Eight years experience in architecture, environmental design and urban and rural development projects involving community organization, neighborhood planning and urban design. Recent work includes open space and development master planning. Design and planning experience ranges in scale from residential buildings and schools to neighborhood planning and urban design.

2004 - "Participatory Budget in Olinda - Pernambuco-Brazil" - Study focused on the performance and limitations of participatory Planning in the city of Olinda, introduced in 1999 by a progressive mayor.

Teaching

 

2001- Project Coordinator Local Development School' Santana do Acaraú/CE, Local economics, environmental and political education for the students of public schools of Santana do Acaraú. (Sponsored by the Kellog Fundation)

 

2004 - "Let´s Print the City", Olinda/PE/Brasil.

A series of workshops addressed to the students of a public school with the aim to preserve the architectural patrimony of Olinda trough the artistic drawing and woodblock printing of historical landmarks.
